About this place
Slices of sea bream sashimi come coated in a rich, house-made sauce blending cashews, walnuts, and sesame. The suggested way to enjoy it is to take the first bites plain, savoring the nutty aroma and savory depth of the fish, before finishing the dish by pouring strong brewed tea over it as chazuke. Enriched by the deep savor of crushed nuts, the sea bream stands out equally well as an accompaniment to sake or as a satisfying conclusion to the course.
Located on the 4th floor of a building in Nihonbashi Kobunacho, Ohsaka presents Japanese cuisine prepared through a wide range of techniques, beginning with seasonal saki-hassun appetizer platters that reflect the time of year. The kitchen adds its own inventive touches to classic kappo cookery, including sukiyaki made with professionally selected A5-grade domestic wagyu beef, served with a delicate whipped egg mousse for dipping.
The beverage program is built around a curated selection of sake, including hard-to-find labels chosen to complement the meal. Moving from sashimi to grilled and simmered courses provides plenty of opportunities to pair different pours, while beer and wine are also available.
Done in an authentic Japanese style, the interior includes counter seats, table seating, zashiki floor spaces, and private rooms, maintaining a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Dinner centers on reservation-only set courses, making it well suited for business dining, anniversaries, or any evening dedicated to thoughtful food and drink.
